Dr. Maggie McColley is the Academic Director and Interim President of Alliance Française de Tallahassee. She holds a PhD in French from the University of Virginia and has taught at the College of William and Mary and Rhodes College. She enjoys teaching for FSU-Olli, traveling to francophone global destinations and writing when not in the woods or on the water.

Mary Bradford learned French as an au pair after college in Paris. After coming to Tallahassee in 2001 she joined the Alliance Francophone and Association Française de Tallahassee as soon as she heard about them. She served as President from 2010 until 2018 and has remained on the Board.

Gary Fournier is a retired economics professor who served on the FSU faculty for 35 years before becoming Professor emeritus. He lives with his wife in Tallahassee. In recent years they like hiking, kayaking, and travel, especially to France and Canada to learn about the francophone culture.

 

TammyPlatt

Tammy Platt has been a French enthusiast since childhood, high school and beyond. While studying French and raising children she became an Alliance Francaise de Tallahassee member in 2012. She studied French in Villefranche-sur-Mer at the Institut de Francais on the French Riviera in May 2014. As part of the Florida State University International program she studied at Cite Internationale Universitaire De Paris for the month of July 2015. She holds a Bachelor Degree from Florida State; Major in French and a Minor in Art History, (August 2015.)

AD Platt

Alan Platt currently serves as Treasurer for Alliance Française de Tallahassee. He is currently semi-retired from A D Platt & Assoc, Land Surveying, Inc. which he founded in 1991. He enjoys RVing and accompanying his wife as she explores her passion for French and France.

Clayton Reck

Clayton Reck grew up in the Chicago suburbs and moved to Tallahassee in 2004 after getting his PhD in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2014, he took a trip to France with his wife and decided to try and learn a bit of French before arriving in Paris. That trip and the process of learning some rudimentary French sparked a love of French culture and language that continues today. Upon returning from France he enrolled in language courses at the Alliance Francaise de Tallahassee, taking both structured language courses and conversation classes. Clayton joined the board of AFTally in 2022 and is currently the Membership Coordinator.

Charlotte Stuart-Tilley is a student at Florida State University majoring in French and International Affairs, with a focus in francophone politics. She has been both a student and teacher with Tallahassee's Alliance Française for the past four years! When not studying, she loves traveling and exploring both francophone and non-francophone cultures alike, or spending time with her big, crazy family.

Lynne Laslie is a hospital administrator at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She is a life-long francophile with a creative brilliance that shines brightly. As our Communications Director with master planning skills, she has many exciting ideas generating for our association. She is also a shelter dog rescuer, creating a safe haven for her two beautiful, rambunctious girls Lily and Waffles.
