PRESIDENT

Dr. Anna Burnley

Dr. AnnaBurnley is a linguist and lover of words (especially if they're in French!), joined AFTally and also serves as an instructor whenever needed. Also a member of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF), the Florida AATF, TESOL International, among many other organizations, Dr. Burnley is an active Scholar-Practitioner. Since 2011, she has taught additional language acquisition at a private, liberal arts college in Florida, presented and published internationally in peer-reviewed journals, and conducted research in globally-shared stories. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, Carson-Newman University, and Murray State University. Dr. Burnley makes her home in Tallahassee with her husband, and in her spare time, enjoys travel, reading, and entering her French roses in competitions. See you in class at the AFTally!

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR

Tammy Platt

Tammy has been a French enthusiast since childhood, high school and beyond. While studying French and raising children she became an Alliance Francaise de Tallahassee member in 2012. She studied French in Villefranche-sur-Mer at the Institut de Francais on the French Riviera in May 2014. As part of the Florida State University International program she studied at Cite Internationale Universitaire de Paris for the month of July 2015. She holds a Bachelor Degree from Florida State; Major in French and a Minor in Art History, (August 2015.) Tammy acts as our Office Manager and also leads our children's storybook hour.

Alan Platt

Alan currently serves as Treasurer for Alliance Française de Tallahassee. He is currently semi-retired from A D Platt & Assoc, Land Surveying, Inc. which he founded in 1991. He enjoys RVing and accompanying his wife as she explores her passion for French and France.

LIBRARIAN

Mary Bradford

Mary learned French as an au pair after college in Paris. After coming to Tallahassee in 2001 she joined the Alliance Francophone and Association Française de Tallahassee as soon as she heard about them. She served as President from 2010 until 2018 and has remained on the Board.

SECRATARY

Charlotte Stuart-Tilley

Charlotte is a recent graduate from Florida State University majoring in French and International Affairs, with a focus in francophone politics. She has been both a student and teacher with Tallahassee's Alliance Française for the past four years! When not studying, she loves traveling and exploring both francophone and non-francophone cultures alike, or spending time with her big, crazy family.
