Beginning French-102

Course description: This class is for those who took Beginning French 101 using the Alter Ego 1 textbooks (Unit 0 and 1, until p. 32). Students who studied French in the past and who consider themselves more than a novice may be able to join this group upon a short phone conversation with the director of education in order to verify their basic knowledge skills. Beginning French 102 will continue with Unit 2 an 3 of Alter Ego 1 along with the audio and visual exercises (talk about one`s city, talk about one`s tastes/activities/hobbies, ask and give directions, ask for information, invite someone, accept/refuse an invitation, etc.). Activities done in class will help the student develop language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Prerequisite: Beginning French 101 or equivalent
Material required: Textbook Alter Ego 1 (includes a workbook and CD). This class uses the same textbook/exercise/CD material AlterEgo as BF-101/102. Those students who do not have the textbook and materials can obtain them at an additional cost from the Association. Please contact the Director of Academic Programs for additional information.
